Your daily intake of macros in this diet would be 75-80% fats, 15-25% protein, and about 5% carbohydrates.

My experience and how it changed my life

Before i started to do keto, i was at a low point in my health. I was always feeling more tired, i had mood swing and all across the board i just felt miserable. I really didn’t consider myself a healthy eater especially since i had no interests in doing any physical activity.

It wasn’t until i one day looked at myself in the mirror that i started to realize that something was very wrong with me. I didn’t notice how much weight i had gained and not only did i look terrible physically, but metabolically, i was a disaster. My body fat percentage was extremely high to the point where i was metabolically obese. I was shocked because i really didnt consider myself to be obese, but then i realized i was borderline obese in a metabolical sense. And that really concerned me even more.

I was now at risk of type 2 Diabetes and heart disease in my early 20s.

I of course had to take action before anything bad could happen to my health. The only problem was i didn’t know where to start. Ive heard of so many alternatives that the only thing i wanted to do was nothing. I thought that losing weight was going to be as complicated.

Then one day i had a long time friend who did martial arts tell me about this diet that helped him lose weight while he was training for Jiu-Jitsu. Of course he told me about the Ketogenic diet and how it helped him shed 25 lbs within a significant amount of time.

I was very intrigued by the results he told me with the diet. So i decided to take action and try it for myself.

At first it was a slow progress. I really thought this wasnt going to work and i almost quit. It wasnt until i realized that my weight loss journey was going to be a slow start for me just like it is for everyone else. It was mainly a mental game for me throughout the weight loss journey.

I kept myself on this diet and did some workout as well and slowly but surely i started seeing results.

I eliminated the big gut that i had going from a size 39 to a size 35 in three months. I went from being 180 lbs to 155 lbs within the same period of time. I was stunned at how much the Ketogenic diet helped lose weight. It was amazing that i was able to do this by simply making a decision that only took an instant for me to action and informing myself more on Keto.

Misconceptions about the diet

Yes it is true that you can lose weight on a Ketogenic diet, however this diet isn’t just for losing weight but it is also a hormone regulator, it helps reduce the risk of diabetes, improves cognitive function, improves digestive health, treats heat disease, and much more.

Most people also think that going Keto is very restrictive and hard to understand. Keto only restricts processed foods like pastas, breads, packaged snack, and sugary drinks. Another misconception is that you will lose muscle mass if you stick to the ketogenic diet. This is also is not true. As long as you get adequate protein in your diet you will be fine.
